Belinda is a graduate of UQ in Human Movement Studies and holds a Diploma of Medical Ultrasound. Her extensive echocardiographic training took place over 20 years at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane, where she was senior in charge of the Echo lab. Belinda cofounded Cardionexus Imaging in 2007, and is the Chief Sonographer and Educator of that group, where she continues to develop and educate new sonographers into a high quality professional career path. Belinda has presented papers and spoken at national meetings, and has been heavily involved with sonographer education. She has been an examiner for ASUM for over 20 years. Her strong interest in congenital and adult congenital heart disease led to her long term involvement in Operation Open Heart; a charitable organization that promotes skills transfer and diagnostic aid to enhance cardiology and surgical programs in Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia.
