Bonita is a cardiac sonographer with more than 35 years’ experience in clinical echocardiography. She was instrumental in the development and inception of the Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound offered by the Queensland University of Technology and has served on many committees and boards with the ASA, ASAR, ASE, ASUM and CSANZ. She is also the author of two Echo textbooks. She has edited and contributed to several other echocardiography textbooks and is a frequent speaker at national and international echocardiographic conferences. Bonita was awarded the Pru Pratten Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010 and is a Fellow of the ASA and the ASE.
