A senior staff specialist in Emergency Medicine at Redcliffe Hospital in QLD where my roles include the ED Ultrasound Lead and Supervisor for the Special Skills Term in Ultrasound for advanced Emergency Medicine Trainees. Part-Time tutor at Australian Institute of Ultrasound on the Advanced Emergency and Nerve Block courses. Combining my interests in teaching and point of care ultrasound (POCUS) to enable emergency trainees and other staff get POCUS skills to help patients. Passionate about POCUS as it allows greater safety when performing procedures e.g., intravenous cannulation and nerve blocks and helps with early clinical decision making. Obtained a graduate certificate in ultrasound from the University of Otago in NZ in 2012. Also have Certificates in clinician performed ultrasound (CCPU) from the Australian Society of ultrasound in Medicine.
